Happy Birthday Lil' Monkey!

Good morning and happy Friday to you!  I have a card to share with you that was published awhile back in Northridge's Cricut magazine.  I had this cute monkey paper from Bella Blvd,  and decided to match my cuts to it! The monkey cut is from the 3 Birds-Life's a Party cartridge.  I added pink cheeks with chalk and glossy accents to the body for added dimension. I adhered that to a circle and scalloped circle cut from the Cricut Font and Basic Shapes cartridge.
I added flowers using a flower punch to make it extra girly!  Flower Soft was added to the leaves and the sentiment was computer generated.
I had to add one more flower to the lil monkey.....just cuz! ;)
Here is the little monkey the card is going to!  My niece turns 7 this weekend!  So tomorrow all of us girls are headed to the American Girl Doll store!  It will be Katie's first AG doll!
Have a wonderful weekend my friends!
Hugs to you!

Big Dog and a Bit of Modeling.....

Good morning to you all!
It is a fairly cool, gloomy day today.  But I am enjoying the quietness of my house, with my cup of coffee.  My favorite part of the day.....but only in the summer.  During the school year it is a constant fire drill in the mornings! LOL!
Crafty Secrets has a new, super cute digital stamp set called, Big Dog.  I am a dog lover for sure, so this is right up my alley!  I found this cute bone box at the Silhouette store designed by Jamie Cripps,  and decided it would be perfect for a little treat/gift.
I colored the sentiment with my Prisma colored pencils.  I added a purple bow, a flower, and a red button for a few pops of color.
Cortney has been a busy girl with swimming, summer school, and her modeling jobs.  She was lucky enough to model this T-shirt by Monkeybug Apparel.  I absolutely adore the saying.  And by the look on Cort's face, she adores it too!
This girl is the epitome of love.

Another gal, Amy Corbin, sent makeup to Cortney.  The make-up was new to us but we loved it!  The mascara is fabulous and makes Cort's lashes look super thick and long.  The makeup is by Younique.  The colors Amy sent were subtle and very natural. Perfect for my girl.
I am off to have lunch with a friend today.  I am so enjoying getting a chance to visit and catch up with my family and friends!
I am truly a blessed person!
Have a great day...and thank you for stopping here and making me a small part of your day.

Scrapbook Adhesives 3L and Neat and Tangled Blog Hop!

I am so thrilled that Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L is doing a blog hop with Neat and Tangled!  I've always admired their stamps, and now I finally got the chance to play with 'em!
The first set I used is called, Fresh Blooms.  I colored each flower with Spectrum Noir Markers and cut them out.  I gave each layer a coating of glossy accents.  Once they were dry I stacked them using  Foam Squares Black Regular to give them a bit of dimension.
I used Spellbinder's Beaded Circles to anchor my flowers.  The sentiment, which has the cutest font ever, was stamped directly on the smaller circle.  I used   E-Z® Runner Permanent Strips Refillable. to adhere my circles, flowers, and designer paper to the front of the card.  I added a bit of ribbon and string too.

For my next card I used Neat and Tangled's Just Hello set.  I again colored it with Spectrum Noir markers and added a bit of glossy accents to the phone.  I cut strips of cream cardstock and added my sentiments directly to those.  The strips were popped up a bit using   Crafty Foam Tape White.
I added a few epoxy circles, a doily, and a bit of string.

Be sure to pop over to the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog for your chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate to their store!
Because honestly, who doesn't need/want adhesive? :) (And theirs is the best!)
RUN! People RUN over there!  ;)

Guess What?

I am one of SRM Sticker's newest design team member!  I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing team!
I have been using SRM stickers since the company first came out.  They are my "go to" item because they are so quick and easy!
I found this cute watermelon cut over at the Silhouette Store.  I think I have an obsession with watermelon cuts because I think I own about a dozen or so.  It is such an iconic image for summer. (Or at least in my mind! LOL) I thought the sweet summer sticker and the background Label circle were perfect for the center of my watermelon.
I added glossy accents to the seeds and ribbon, string, and a few felt flowers to finish off my card.
Be sure to pay the SRM Blog a visit so you can see the rest of the SRM recruits! ;)
Have a great day!!!
