Glittered Egg Frame-One Can Not Have Enough Glitter!

Good morning! I have a cute little altered egg frame to share with you today that I found at Michaels. I am kicking myself that I didn't purchase more of them! I decided to use this bright yellow Martha Stewart glitter to coat the entire frame.  I hot glued some turquoise ribbon, a couple of glittery plastic eggs, two posies, and a few bright sequins.
The image inside is part of the Crafty Secret's digital Bunny Hop collection.  It is such a darling Easter set!  I printed the image twice.  I colored the bunny with Copic markers and cut him out.  I added a white pom pom for his tail. The eggs were glittered.....because God knows I didn't have enough glitter! ;)
My spring break is coming to an end and I have to admit, I am a wee bit sad about it.  I've enjoyed having some time to spend with family and friends. I loved being able to craft a bit and enjoying some "alone time."  But I know I shouldn't complain because I am blessed to have a job that allows me the opportunity to have this time off.
So with that, I am off to get ready for a lunch date!
Have a great Friday and thanks for popping by!

Your projects are always so creative and beautiful; I don't think you need to worry about trends because I think you are setting them! I like this new trend of using embellished stick pins in paper crafting. It adds a vintage touch to the most contemporary styles! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us and the opportunity to win this great stash!

Please e-mail me Katrina so we can get your stash out to you!
Thank you all for playing along!

Beauty...

I feel blessed everyday that I get to share my girl (and occasionally my boy, when he lets me) with all of you.
When Cort was first born there were so many mixed emotions.
Sadness
Anger
Fear
Confusion
Our journey with her has been at times, very difficult.
It has brought me to my knees many, many times.
But somehow through the darkness light appears.
You start looking at things with a different lens.
Happiness
Joy
Faith
Clarity
She is all of those things bundled up in one little person.
She has taught us so many things and touched so many lives....
She is beauty within.
And this girl is going places.
She will not be defined by her wheelchair.
She will not be defined by her limitations.
She is my daughter.
She belongs.
She deserves to be seen.

The winds of change are blowing wild and free
I could make her happy, make her dreams come true
There is nothing I wouldn't do
I'd go to the ends of the Earth for you
to make you feel my love......

Prince Charming

Babies.
There is nothing sweeter.
We have had something in our drinking water at school I think, because we've had lots of babies this past year.  :)
Which was fine by me because I love making baby cards!
I created this baby boy card in last year's issue of Cricut Magazine.
It uses the Lite B is for Boy, cartridge.
In CCR I welded the onesie together to create the card shape.
I added a sentiment and a little cameo brad to add a few special touches to the card.
And speaking of "baby" boys, mine is going to prom this upcoming weekend.  The suit has been bought, the shoes shined, haircut tonight, and my camera charging.
I am proud of him for asking a girl because that is totally out of his comfort zone.
They are just friends, which is even better.
So be prepared to see my blog blow up with pictures of my "baby" this weekend.
Off to lunch and a bit of shopping today!
Have a great day my friends!

Happy!

I've been asking you gals about what the hottest trends are and I've seen a lot of chalkboard and stencil trends being thrown out there.  I don't believe anyone has mentioned the infamous "exploding boxes" yet.
I've seen so many of them floating around the Internet that I knew I had to make one.
This adorable box is from the Silhouette Store.  I mixed and matched some October Afternoon and Bella Blvd. papers for a fun spring color scheme.
The directions at the Silhouette Store were so easy to follow and I will definitely be making more of these in the future!
I added a bit of ribbon, string, and a sentiment using my Dymo Label maker.  The flowers were embellished with Papertrey Ink buttons tied with black string.
I am off to run some errands and get a few things done that have been neglected for some time.
Tomorrow is a shopping day with the gals from work.
So off I go!

Wishes for You

Good morning! I have a fun sunflower card to share with you that is a digital image from Crafty Secrets, called Sunflower Digital Art Set. I printed it twice and added chocolate brown Flower Soft to the center for texture.  I adhered it to the center using dimensional foam circles.  The rest of the flower was colored using Copic markers.  The background is a cool die from Spellbinders called, Fanciful Lattice. I sponged a bit of ink while die was in place for a bit of depth.
For my finishing touches I added some colored seam binding, a fun button, gold cording, and a tag.
I am officially on spring break (even though it is currently snowing outside) and it came at a really good time. Life has been beating me up lately and I need a break. So I am planning on visiting family and friends to remind myself that I am indeed blessed and loved. Sometimes those reminders are needed! :)
I am off to the grocery store (fun, fun!) and finishing laundry (more fun!).
Have a great Sunday!
Don't forget to enter my giveaway HERE. It ends on Wednesday night.
