Cortney's Prom......

I have nothing crafty to share with you today,
but I do have a video I created for Cortney.
It's of her and her friends at prom.
They were all dolled up and having a "normal" teenage milestone.
Prom to me is such a rite of passage, and I am so glad these kids get to experience that.

I know I bombard you with pictures of my kids...... a lot. ;)
But I hope you take a few minutes to watch the video and take a peek inside my heart.

Feel free to share it, pin it......
Have a wonderful weekend my friends!

JustRite's May Release-Day 5!

Good morning!
Today's brand new JustRite set is all about the boys!  It is an adorable set designed by Samantha Walker called, All Boy. I stamped the boat in a pale blue, the sentiment in black,  and added a bit of Stickles to give it a subtle sparkle.  The baby romper cut is by Silhouette.  I added bitty baby buttons and threaded them with turquoise thread.
The image was cut out using Spellbinder's circle and scalloped circle die.  I added a few epoxy pearls to finish it off.
This is such a cute set!  It is great for card making, but would also be perfect for scrapbooking all of those boy pages! :)
Be sure to pay the other designers a visit!

Have a great day!  It's almost Friday! :D

JustRite's New Release-Day 4!

Good morning to you once again! I hope you are not tired of me yet!  I have a couple more JustRite projects to share with you this week!
Today is all about the men! There are 3 new sets released that you can check out HERE.  I used one of the sets for my envelope called, Monogram Your Journey.
I decided on a traditional color scheme of red and blue. The anchor was stamped in Versamark and embossed in a denim blue. I backed it using two Spellbinder's die cuts.  (Circle and Scalloped circle)
The center of the anchor was given a coat of crackle accents for a cool yet subtle effect. I stamped the compass pointer in Versamark and embossed it in gold.  I found a cool script brad for the center from My Mind's Eye.
Here is the set I used in its entirety.
For more "manly" goodness, be sure to visit these ladies! ;)

*****I haven't forgotten to post pics of prom....just am waiting until the end of the week.  If you follow me on Facebook, I posted a video there.  I will post it here soon! :) *****

JustRite's May Release-Day Three!

Good morning my crafty friends!  I hope you are enjoying all of the new releases by JustRite so far!  I had so much fun creating with all of these new sets!
Today I am using a beautiful background set called, Botanical Postcard.  I thought it would be perfect with the Tim Holtz Distress markers. It takes a bit of patience, but worth it in the end. Once the image is colored and stamped, I distressed the edges with a sponge and Distress inks.  I used a distresser on the edges to fray the edges a bit. I used one of the new dies called,A2 Bracket Borders by Spellbinders for the pretty edge on my card.
I used a Cuttlebug Quilling kit for my flower and added a pretty gem to its center.  I also added some silk blue bells to bring out the blue in my card.
As a final touch, a few sequins were added.
Here is the background stamp in all of its fabulous glory! ;)
Be sure to pop on over for more great ideas using this set!

Crafty Secret's Linky Party and Design Team Challenge!

This is my second post today....if you are looking for JustRite's Day 2 of their May release be sure to scroll down!
Today is also Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party.  I have a little altered frame I created using new digital images from Crafty Secrets! I also have included a tutorial on how to size the photos using Photoshop.
I picked up this frame at Michaels and since it had a 5x7 opening, printed this image to that size. The image was colored with Copic Markers.
I added an additional layer to this little gal's blanket for a bit of depth and interest.  I added a bit of glitter to my lil' bunnies.  I also added black pearls for their noses and cream pearls for their tails.
I added rolled flowers cut using my Silhouette and a satin ribbon to use as the hanger.
I am by no means an expert at Photoshop, but this is the method I use when sizing my digital images.  I have created a Crafty Secret's digital folder that I store all of my digital images in.  I select what I want and click on print.
Since my frame opening was a 5x7 size, I selected the 5x7 print option.  I decided to print two of them, so I could add some depth to my wall hanging.
You can see my settings here.  I chose 8.5 x 11 paper and my 5x7 size.
Here is my naked Michael's frame.....that I will spray paint.....
....Using Krylon's Catalina Mist. (Love this color!)
Here are my two prints.  :)
I completely colored the one on the right, but only the blanket on the left.  (And you can see my mess at the top where I was playing a bit with my Copic markers) ;) No worries that part will be cut off in a bit!
After cutting the blanket on the left, I added dimensional foam circles and adhered it to the blanket on the right.
Here is a close up of the blanket.  I love how adding the extra layer adds such nice depth to the project.
Be sure to visit the other talented ladies! Their projects are gorgeous!

JustRite's New Release Day 2!

I am so glad you are stopping by to see day 2 of JustRite's new May release!  This set is called, Birthday Vintage Labels Four.  This set is absolutely perfect for using the hottest trend right now....the chalkboard technique!  This was my first card using this fun method!  I embossed the background in white and the sentiment in a pale pink.
I grabbed my white and pale pink ink pads and did a bit of sponging around the edges.  I took my finger and kind of smudged it a bit with the white or pink ink around the frame and sentiment.  Not an exact method by any means! ;)
I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch to add a bit of color and my Silhouette to create a few rolled flowers.  The final touches include seam binding and a few epoxy pearls.
This is the entire set.....fun right?!
Be sure to pop on over to my fellow design team girls....they have such fabulous projects to share with you!

JustRite's May Release-Day 1!

Welcome to Day 1 of JustRite's May release!  You are going to want to make sure you see all the sets they've come out with this month! Each one is unique and fabulous!
The first set is called, Irises Vintage Labels Four. It was stamped in Memento black and colored with Copic markers.
The image was cut out using the coordinating Spellbinder's die, Labels Four.  I added a bit of seam binding, pink satin ribbon, and a hand colored wooden butterfly. I also added tiny pearls to the background.
Here is the set in its entirety. :)
Be sure to check out the other gal's blogs for their beautiful projects using this set!
