Prom

Last night was such a touching and emotional night. I am so glad that her school has all of these wonderful events for their students......not many places would treat our kids so special.  It is as important to us as parents as it is to the kids. My heart literally wanted to burst with joy for them.  Their happiness is evident on their faces, and these pictures speak volumes.

My girl's baby blues......stunning....
These two share such a special bond....it melts your heart to see them together.

Such a handsome, sweet kid.....

Patty's mom asked if she was going with anyone to prom....her reply was, "I'll just go with Jimmy and Cortney!" So Jim took two girls to the prom! ; )

Patty was beautiful last night......with her "up-do!"

These two are inseparable.....they are blessed to have each other......

.......and accept one another unconditionally......

.......As always.....thanks for letting me indulge....

JustRite's New Release Day Three!

It is Friday and that means it is day three of JustRite's new releases!  The set we are showcasing today is called Botanical Medallions and Banners.  It has the prettiest floral images to color, and I absolutely adore the banners!  I colored my flowers with Copic Markers, added a bit of glitter, and pearls to the centers.  I stamped the banner stamp in olive green and cut it out with a coordinating Spellbinder's die called Vintage Label and Banner Dies.  The back panel was embossed and a circle cut out to create a sort of shadow box.
I added purple satin ribbon and these pretty leaves from the Stamp Simply Store.
The DT gals have done it again! Be sure to visit them and see their fabulous projects!

Tonight is prom night!  Cort has been talking nonstop about going to her dance today!  I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am able to get some good pictures of her and her friends.  I will share tomorrow!
Have a great Friday everyone!

JustRite's New Releases Day Two!

Good morning and welcome to Day 2 of JustRite's new releases!  I have a vintage set to share today with you called Violette Vintage Labels.  It truly is a set that I loved working with!  I decided to stamp the image with Versamark and sprinkle it with white embossing powder.  I gave it a bit of color with my Copic markers.  I love the softness it has with all of the white space. I cut the image out with a coordinating die from Spellbinders called, the Vintage Label and Banner dies.
I found this little perfume bottle charm in my stash and thought it was a perfect little accent to my card!  This beautiful silk ribbon is from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon store.  I just love the big loopy bows it makes!

Here is the entire set.......*Swoon!!!!*

Want to see more? Be sure to visit the other DT gals! They have done a beautiful job of showcasing this set!

Thank you so much for Cort's birthday wishes yesterday!  It means a lot to me!  Would you believe that I am still sick?  I can't seem to shake this stupid virus I have! It is making me crazy because I haven't crafted all week.  I am sooooo stinking tired by 10 O'clock! It's ridiculous!  I am ready to be healthy again!
Have a great day my friends!!!

JustRite's New Release, Day One!

JustRite has done it again! They've come out with some fabulous new sets just in time for Father's Day! I used the new set called Anchors Away to create my little pocket card.  The wonky card shape was cut using my Cricut and the Wild Card cartridge.  To enhance the card's nautical theme I took some medical gauze and spritzed it with brown Glimmer Mist.  I used some spray adhesive and gave it a light coating so may sprinkling of sand would stick!
I stamped the anchor in Pure Poppy, used a gold pen to accent the chain, and gave it a coating of Crystal Effects.
I stamped the sentiment and the ship on the tag.   A bit of rustic twine and stick pins were added.
Here is the set in its entirety. Fabulous right? ; )

The Design Team has rocked this set out....so be sure to see all of their fabulous projects using this set!

And here she is celebrating with her boyfriend "Jimbo"  These two adore each other!

Fancy Purse!

Would you believe that I have a terrible cold......again? Seriously? Don't those germs know I don't have time to be sick? ; ) This weeks is crazy busy with all of the end of the school year stuff creeping up on me....Cort's prom...her birthday.....Kyle caddying at the country club....the list seems to go on and on.

I do have a shaped card to share with you that uses my Cricut and the Kate's ABC's cartridge.  I also used two sets by JustRite here.  First to create the pattern on the purse, I used the Elegant Fronds background stamp.  I stamped it in Versamark and sprinkled it with white embossing powder.  I did all of this after the purse had already been cut. The sentiment is from the Vintage Rose Medallions set.
Love the look of embossing! : )

I had this funky plastic flower in my stash since the beginning of time, I swear.  Not sure who makes it actually....but thought it worked well here.  I added a bit of glitter, seam binding, and some pearls to finish it off.  Since my purse opens at the top, I used just a tiny Velcro piece to keep the purse closed.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Have a wonderful (and healthy)....Monday! : )
