Embrace Happiness

There is something I love about rainbow cards. I am totally drawn to them for some reason. I admire other's cards with this color scheme and decided to try my own version. I created this card last year for the Cricut Circle Blog. It uses the Paper Trimming's cart for each of the borders as well as the butterfly. The butterfly was sprayed with a few colors of Glimmer Mist to match my background. Then they were inked on the edges and given a healthy dose of glitter! ; )  I added satin ribbon and a tag cut from the Sentimental's cartridge.
The sentiment was stamped with a rainbow ink pad and sprinkled with clear embossing powder. The butterfly's body was given a few rhinestones....because once I was on the rainbow idea....I went all the way with it! LOL!
Have a great day and I will share my news soon with you! : )

Easter Blessings

I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your families! I have one last Easter card to share with you today. It uses JustRite's Easter Blessings set. I stamped the frame with Versamark and used silver embossing powder. I used grey paper to give it a subtle effect because I wanted the cross to stand out against it. It was colored with Copic markers. The flowers were colored a second time and cut out by hand. I popped them up using dimensional foam circles, and added pearls and glossy accents to them.
I used a white glitter by Martha Stewart for the cross.
I added a bit of silver lace, grey seam binding and pearl/sequin combo for the center.
My posts might be a bit sparse this week!  Be patient with me and I will share why by the end of the week! ; )
