ColorArtz and Cricut Stencil

Good morning and TGIF! I am relieved it is the weekend once again. I need a bit of R and R! We have dinner plans for Saturday, but otherwise no other commitments. Sometimes the running around starts to wear me down!

I have a card today that seems a bit out of place for this time of year, but I hadn't posted it and wanted to make you aware of a new product by ColorArtz. It works in conjunction with the Cricut Stencil cartridge and works great on fabric, glass, paper etc. I chose to create a card, but I've seen many cool home decor projects done with it! You simply cut the image using your Cricut and use the negative space on the paper to create the stencil.  Then the fun part begins.  Place your ink in the ColorArtz tool and spray your colors on! It's super easy and gives such fun results!
The frame was cut using the Elegant Edges Cartridge and popped up with dimensional foam circles.  I added some machine stitching, rhinestones, and seam binding.  The tag was cut using the Sentimentals Cartridge. I added another rhinestone and a small piece of twine to finish it off!
I hope you have a wonderful relaxing weekend!  Thank you as always for popping by!  I am hoping this weekend to repay your visits! : )

Babies......

Who doesn't love babies? Their cute tiny selves just starting life? Who can resist smelling the top of their soft baby hair........certainly not me. Maybe it is just because my two are no longer babies, and I kind of miss the smaller version of them! ; ) Teens are the polar opposite and I am quite sure that if God gave us teens to start, our population might be a tad smaller! LOL!

I have a card today to celebrate those new babes....using my Imagine and the Hey Diddle Diddle cartridge. Using the Imagine makes cardmaking a breeze!  I love that the images come in layers, since I adore making lumpy bumpy cards.  I just pop up those layers with dimensional foam circles.  I added glitter, seam binding tied with a contrasting button to add a pop to the card.

As always this week has flown by!  My gal and I are getting much needed haircuts tonight.  We are starting to look like Shaggy D. A!
Have a great day my friends!

Snow Day.......NOT!

Last year about this time, we had about 2o inches of snow dumped on us. The only people who like that much snow, are little people. My son was one of them. While he was supposed to help me shovel our way out of the driveway, he decided it was waaaaaay more fun to build a snow fort and crawl inside of it! The fort had to be about 8 feet high! It was good to see my teen have some good old fashioned fun in the snow! This LO was published in the December of Cricut Magazine
I coffee stained some metal rimmed tags and incorporated them with snowflakes cut from the Winter Woodland.  I wanted to incorporate a subtle vintage feel to the page.
The snowman and title were cut using the Winter Frolic cartridge.  I added red Flower Soft to his earmuffs and mittens for a cozy warm feel.  I glittered him up and added tiny buttons to his eyes.
This winter has been so mild in comparison to last year.  But I am not complaining one bit! The mild temps and lack of snow has made this winter fly by!  Soon spring will be here!
Have a wonderful day my friends!

Bless Your Little Heart

Good morning to you! I had a wonderful and busy weekend with my family. Kyle turned 15 on Saturday and we took him out to one of his favorite restaurants and to see Sherlock Holmes. Sunday was spent at home getting caught up on a few things and doing a bit of creating in my room!

I have a Crafty Secret's card to share with you today. I used an image from the Childhood Image Journal Booklet.  I outlined it in silver Stickles.  The border of hearts was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Elegant Edges cartridge.  I added some pom pom trim behind it for a bit of whimsy!
I created my own ruffle with satin ribbon and red line tape.  I made two ruffles and then stacked them.  I adhered it to the heart border and tied a bit of silk ribbon around it.  I tied a bit of twine and added a stick pin complete with alphabet letters.

I am dragging a bit this morning to get to work.  It must be Monday. ; )
Have a great day!  Thank you so much for paying me a visit!
