Scrap and Stamp's Blog Hop!

Good morning and happy Friday/Weekend to y'all!!! I am excited to have been asked to join in on Scrap and Stamp's Blog Hop! The very talented Pamela came up with this fabulous sketch! I loved the huge star idea! So I pulled out some Christmas baking photos....... : )

I chose to use the large picture of my cookies....and one smaller picture of more cookies and Cort and Kyle helping in the kitchen!

I used Noel Mignon's Dear Santa kit for the fun collection of papers and embellishments!

The title was cut using my Cricut, coated with Crystal Lacquer and sprinkled with chunky Martha Stewart glitter. I love how it looks good enough to eat!

And of course I had to sneak a pic of my birthday guy in here........making his wish....then eating tira mi su......YUM! Can you see his two adorable dimples??

If you would like a chance to win some prizes.....leave a comment on each of these fabulous gals' blogs! A winner will be chose on Monday! You can also create a LO based on this fun sketch and post it by Sunday night for a chance to win too! Just post it and link it back to Scrap and Stamp's blog!

A New Teenage Boy & Another Tutorial!

At 11:58 AM, 13 years ago, I gave birth to my baby boy. It was truly one of the best days of my life. That little blond boy is growing up into a sweet, gushy, sensitive, young man. He has a soft heart, sharp sense of humor, and is smart as a whip. He has had his share of struggles.......he has ADHD and dyslexia.....but has done such a tremendous job overcoming these obstacles. He is in honors classes and received A's and B's in all his classes this year. I couldn't be more proud of him!

And to show you just how kooky and funny this kid is.................... : )

A GOOF BALL! And I love it!

Happy birthday Kyle! Love you bunches!!!!!

I do have a crafty creation to share with you today too! I created this card with a Prima stamp from Noel Mignon's Paper Doll kit. HERE is the tutorial on how to create this colorful rainbow......
Have a wonderful day! We are going to have a nice cozy dinner at home after school/work, presents, and cake for our new teenager!

Introducing Stitched With Love & a Tutorial!

JustRite is releasing another fabulous new set called Stitched With Love! It is a gorgeous set that has a bit of a vintage flair......which is totally up my alley! So I pulled out my vintage inspired papers and went to town! I used this cute little spool of thread and decided it would be so cute if I could add real thread to it, instead of just coloring it. I am all about dimension, dimension, dimension! So I will show ya how I did it. Nothing monumental or earth shattering.....just thought I'd share! : )

So here ya go........... : )

Now I mention I use Copics....but feel free to use your medium of choice!

.......gee......I think I need a manicure or something.......

I also added a little stick pin to this sample......just thought it looked sweet..... : )

As always.....thank you for stopping by! If you would like more inspiration using this set, check out the JustRite blog......to see what the other DT gals have cooked up!
Have a FABULOUS day!!!!!

Good morning and happy Tuesday to y'all!!! I have another JustRite card to share with you! I just can't seem to get enough of their images lately. I used this gorgeous daisy from the My Garden set. I stamped the daisy twice, colored it with Copics and cut both of them out. The top Daisy I only cut the innermost portion and placed it on pop dots on top of the other daisy. I love its dimension! I used black Flower Soft for the center. I used some vintage book paper, cream and black card stock from Papertrey Ink, and the gingham paper? Your guess is as good as mine! It was a scrap from my scrap stash.....no manufacturer's name was on it! I added a few rhinestones and an organdy ribbon.

Well......FINALLY, I should get my computer back later today! The mother board and power supply were replaced, and viruses were removed! They were finishing running the scans on the computer yesterday and I can pick it up after school today! So hopefully, I can resume my normal blogging! I can surf on my little 10 inch netbook....but it is super slow! So I get impatient and give up! I apologize if I've neglected visiting you in the past few weeks.......... : )
Off to school! Have a great day!!!!!!!

I Think I will Humor You Today.....

.....with my tight curly perm, banana clip, and my very striking, off the shoulder, satin green dress! Why would I choose to share this? Cuz, the girlies over at Noel Mignon are hosting a "Glee" challenge this week. You know the hit TV show? (Which I love and HAVE to watch every week.....and I 've got all the tunes downloaded on my I-Pod.....yep total nerd I know!) Since I was actually in Glee Club, I took the challenge very literally! The pictures weren't the best quality.......since they are from the 80's......so I had to make do. (My computer is STILL in the shop!) I chose papers from Basic Grey that looked a bit retro to me and fit with the style of the photos. The title was partially stickers and the word Glee was cut using my Cricut.

ooooooohhhhh, in case the whole LO wasn't enough for ya......her is a close-up! Look at the decor around me......yep orange was the IN color at the time!

So......did I give you a bit of a chuckle? Reminiscing about your days in the 80's? LOL! If you'd like to join us in this week's Glee challenge or would like to see the other gals' LO's.....head HERE! (And honestly, you don't have to dig up old pics of yourself.....you could just use a song from the show! : )
And one last thing......if you haven't entered the contest for the Adobe CS4 Illustrator.....click HERE! It will take you to Facebook and you will leave a comment on the wall of Noel Mignon. If you are not a fan, become a fan first, leave a comment on the wall, click on the "boxes" tab on the top and vote for Michele Kovack. This increases YOUR chances of winning this awesome prize!
Well....it's off to work I go! Hi Ho, Hi Ho!!!

Card Positioning Systems and JustRite

JustRite is sponsoring Card Positioning Systems this week! HERE is the sketch! I had this brainstorm to use two Martha Stewart envelopes glued together to create the two triangular shapes. Inside, I tucked two pictures of my children, because they are my sunshine...... : )

Just slip off the ribbon enclosure and open it up........to reveal my pictures.

Here is a close-up of the ribbon enclosure. I stamped my sentiment on cream card stock and added a rhinestone. It is part of the Romantic Sentiment's set. I cut it out with my Spellbinder's heart die and inked the edges a bit. The flower is by Prima. I sprayed it with adhesive and sprinkled a bit of glitter. I punched small hole in the heart and tied it to the ribbon/flower combo.

This picture probably should have been first.....but since I uploaded these quickly when my computer got its virus........I can't correct it! So just bare with me! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!!!! : )
Have a wonderful Sunday!!!
