Can You Believe?

That I start school in less than a week? I can't believe the summer is almost over and our thoughts will be turning to the holidays soon. It must be a sign I am getting older.....because time really does fly by! I have been in my scrap room nonstop. I have finished stripping wallpaper and now need to wash the walls. I have been slowly packing my stuff and hauling it into the basement. The problem with that? I haven't created a thing all week! And it's not looking good next week either! Fortunately, I have some stuff saved that I haven't posted. But, this sooooo needed to be done and it will feel good when it is finished!

Today is my last day as Guest Blogger for JustRite. This is my sneak peek for today! Head on over to the JR blog to see the rest! : ) And let me just thank you for all of your wonderful comments this week! It is truly a ray of sunshine in my day when I read all of your wonderful comments. I know it is time consuming to do.....but it is really appreciated! : )

I am off to take my ribbon holder off the wall, sand it, and spray paint it white..........sounds fun doesn't it?

Have a great weekend!!! And don't forget my CLASS starts on Monday!!

JustRite Sneak, a LO, and an Announcement!

Happy Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Today is Day 2 of my JustRite sneak peeks! Head on over to the JR blog to see this project in its entirety. : )
I also wanted to share this LO I created for Noel Mignon's current challenge to use the fabulously talented, Tara Van Moorsel's LO as inspiration. I decided to go with the way the page was designed. I loved the circular element and the way she included ribbon on the edge of her circle. I used Noel's Rise & Shine kit. (sold out) The butterfly is from Sweet 'n Sassy's, In His Time, stamp set.

This is a sweet moment captured between my hubby and his Godchild. : )
Ok, ready for my big announcement? I have opened my own lil' shop over at Lollishops! It is called Art a la Carte! You will see it in the right side bar. I only have a few items for sale, but am planning on adding a bunch more! I have thought about doing this for ages, but never took the plunge.....until now! : 0
Don't forget that my Card's class starts this Monday, the 24th. If you would like more info on the class click HERE. You can e-mail me as well! : )
Off to set up my classroom today.......and then strip wallpaper in my scraproom. Which BTW, is a complete and utter mess!

I just want you to know that I impressed my son big time yesterday.....how? I hung our new curtain hardware all by myself! While attempting the first window, my son came walking in with a huge smirk on his face. (His look telling me in not so many words......you're going to try and use a drill?) Yep, drilled holes in the walls, popped those sinkers in (we have plaster walls), and screwed the hardware in. After finishing all the living room windows his smirk turned into a thoroughly impressed face! : )

JustRite's HUGE Christmas Blog Hop!

JustRite is having one huge Christmas party today!!! You will get to hop around and see a total of
33 projects from some of the most amazing designers!! : )

My project was inspired by a gum holder my MIL made for my kids awhile back...and I decided they would make a cute project! I used JR's Christmas Joy set and some K & Company Christmas paper.....which I love because it is double sided! I cut the paper to 8 1/2 x2 1/2 inches. Score at 2 1/2 and 5 3/4. Fold where scored. On bottom flap use SU! Word Window punch to create a pocket for the gum. Use velcro on top and bottom flap to secure. Once it is closed, you simply decorate the front the way you would like! I colored this cute penguin with Copics and added some Magic Scrap's iridescent flakes to create "snow." After that, I simply used my Oval Nesties to cut him out! Easy peasy!

Do you remember when Magic Scraps were all the rage? Yep......I still have 'em!
