Joy

I was up to the wee hours of the night trying to finish a few more LO's of my niece and nephew. They are turning 7 and 2 years old and we are celebrating their birthdays this weekend. I decided to give my sister all the LO's I've completed of her children as part of their birthday gift. Unfortunately, I was not even in my pages.....for some reason I had more of my niece than my nephew. So last night I thought I should get a few more pages of this little guy done.

This picture was taken at my house last weekend. I just love the joy that exudes from his little face. (His daddy was throwing him up in the air!) I used Noel Mignon's Five Foot Two and Eyes of Blue kit. (Kit is almost sold out....hurry if you haven't gotten yourself one!) The background was misted with Tattered Angels, Glimmer Mist. I kept the LO simple to keep the focus on the photo.

We are hoping to line up a sitter tonight as Cubs/Sox tickets were given to us.......for free. Right behind home plate! Keep your fingers crossed we get a sitter! : )

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sneak Peek #4 and a Challenge

I can't believe it is Thursday already! Time is just flying by! It is already day 4 of my guest blogging at JustRite. Today's sneak peek is only a small portion of what I have "brewing" over at the JR blog! Go HERE to see ALL of it! : )
I also have a LO to share today. My niece, has been in dance for 4 years now, and this year she was a fairy. She was so excited to wear a "princess" dress. As her aunt, I love taking lots of pictures of her all dressed up. This LO was inspired by Noel Mignon's Shabby Chic challenge. We were to incorporate elements of vintage into our LO. (easy enough!) I used Melissa Frances paper, vintage music paper, and October Afternoon. I distressed, stitched, added tulle, lace, and some pretty hardware. The title was cut using my Cricut (Opposites Attract cartridge) and my Quickutz.

The other DT gals created GORGEOUS LO's! Head on over to Noel's challenge blog to see them and maybe you will be inspired to create a shabby chic LO of your own! I'd love to see it!
Have a wonderful Thursday!!! I sooooooo appreciate you stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. (hint, hint) : )

Bitten By The Bug & Guest Blogger!

The challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug is to use the flower pot cut. I used my new favorite paper, October Afternoon's Two Ducks in a Row. I inked the background piece and machine stitched it. The flower pot was pieced with 2 designer papers. I added some pretty ribbon and 3 buttons. The grass is by Making Memories. I punched the flowers from vintage book and music paper and one piece of Jenni Bowlin. I inked the edges of the flowers and added buttons to the centers. I punched leaves, distressed those as well, and tucked them in behind the flowers.

I did fold the petals to give them a bit of dimension. : )
Here is a sneak peek of one of the projects I did for the JustRite blog this week! To see the entire project, go HERE!

Have a wonderful Monday! (The sun has been peeking out since Saturday! Yea! That makes me happy!)

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all those Dads and Father figures! I am blessed to have many wonderful men in my life! : )

This card is really out of my norm! I had this inspiration to ink and emboss the ship and use my Copics to airbrush the water and sunset. I used a piece of paper and a circle punch. I punched the hole and used the negative space to create the setting sun. Then I took the positive circle and placed that on top of the sun and continued airbrushing around it. (Let me know if you would like to see a tutorial on this! I always feel that whatever I would put here on my blog, has been done on someone else's! ) After the sky and water were airbrushed, I cut the image with my Spellbinder's Nestibilities. I scored my Kraft card stock diagonally for some interest. I used my JustRite stamps (Times New Roman), to create the sentiment......because my son lost my Father's Day Stamp! Ahem.....not mentioning any names!

Many moons ago I bought lots of charms off the Internet......but have no idea what site.....but I do know they were inexpensive!
Just an FYI, tomorrow I will be starting my week as guest blogger over at the JustRite blog!
Have a wonderful Father's Day!!!
