Another Scrap your Crap Challenge!

Simone and Greta, over at Scrap your Crap posted this week's challenge.....use more than 10 buttons! I thought this would be an easy challenge.......nope! I had a vision for this page.........it went totally awry! Why are some pages like that? Some come together super easy, while others........well....don't?! These are pics of my adorable nephew at his 2nd birthday. (Which as last summer.....a bit behind as you can see!) I wanted to punch bunches and bunches of circles and mix the buttons within them. I had trouble with the LO. Didn't know where I should place the pics. So I settled on this! The title was done with foam stamps and acrylic paint. The year was done with stickers. I added some fine lines to the journaling and the bottom of the page because it looked too empty! I added a few Elmo stickers and after 3 days of agonizing over this....it was done! What do you think?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Splitcoast Challenge 171!

Here is my card for the Splitcoast Challenge. I used the flower stamp from Treehouse Stamps. I used Versamark and red SU! powder. I used a bit of chalk for the flowers. I used my Spellbinder's Nestibilities for the ovals. The paper is SU! I added the 3 buttons and metal charm from my "antique" stash!

How About a Summer Drink?

A few of us girls get together and swap images. I got this image from Simone. I don't know who the maker of the stamp is, so if you know, leave a comment for me! The image was colored in using my Copics. I used the Copic glitter pen in clear to go over the ice. IRL it is quite glittery! The paper is by Flair and SU! The sentiment is by Bella Stamps. And how about those sunglasses? Pretty cool huh? Had those in my piles of unused crap! Probably been hanging around my scrap room for years!!! So I blew the dust off of 'em and glue dotted them to the corner! (Simone would be proud!)

Off to a field trip with my class today! The best kind....the kind where they are contained in one spot....a theater! Slim chances of losing a kid that way! : ) Have a great day!

Arful Inkables and better late than never!

There is new stamp company in town.......Artful Inkables! I love Kristin's whimsical images! There are fairies, (Yes, Michelle W. you WILL have to go check her line of stamps out!) cutie pie dragons, flowers, and a gorgeous bridal set! (I will have more cards soon!) This image was colored in with my Copics. I cut everything out and placed it off center from the sentiment, which is also Artful Inkables. The paper is Memory Makers. I pulled out my trusty sewing machine for the perimeter of the card. I added a ribbon and hand strung a little bead "thingy!"
About 2 weeks ago.....Alexandra nominated me for the Schon Wieder Ein Award....Arete y Pico. Then last night Kristen nominated me too! Thanks so much both of you! Meet Olivia!

This is Olivia!! Sweet n' Sassy will be releasing her n the 15th of this month! I used Basic Grey's newest paper, Sultry. I paper pieced her belly and popped it up on pop dots. (see pic below). I added a hint of green by adding two ribbons. The satin ribbon was from one of the kids' Easter packages! See, how thrifty I am? LOL!
Hope you like her! Hope everyone is having a great day! : )

Sweet n' Sassy! and First Day of School.....again!

I created this card using the Birthday Fun set from Sweet n' Sassy! I stamped the candles and colored them in using my Copics. I added Stickles to the flames. I made the tag using my very old, ancient Sizzix tag die. I cut it 2 times and cut the bottom of the orange tag with pinking shears. I layered it and tucked the candles in. I adhered the ribbon and stamped the sentiment at the bottom. I cut the large 3 with my Cricut machine. The paper is SU! and Memory Box.
Cortney started her new school today!!! She had a great day! Even her bus drivers are nice!!
