Crafty Secret's Little Chefs!

This is a card I made using the Crafty Secret's Little Chef set. I made a 50's style floor using a small square punch and black paper. I colored the "Little Chefs" in using my Copics. I cut them out and popped them out with pop dots. The silver ware is from the larger Kitchen set. I stamped those on Shrinky Dinks and adhered them to the card too! I also used my Copic airbrush for the background. The paper is by Daisy D and Crafty Secret's Earthy pad. I topped off the card with a pretty red ribbon! I love the retro feel to this card! (My kitchen was red, black and white when I first moved in with hideous green vegetable wallpaper........now 14 years later when we remodeled....I painted it red again! But without the hideous wallpaper!)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

Crafty Secret's Necklace

This is a necklace I made using the Altered Art set. I adhered papers from the Crafty Secret's paper pads, and some old sheet music. I attached everything to chipboard. I added glitter to the woman's eyelids and some blush. I also added a rhinestone to her wand. (I am all about the glitter and bling!) I encased it in a square microscope frame and added the glass. I did a little bead work on eye pins and used a jump ring to attach the 3 strands of beads. I used Gorilla glue to the jump ring and attached it to the bottom of the microscope cover. . (I am thinking I need a soldering gun!) Crafty Secret's has a ton of new sets, so hop on over and check them out!

Love Moo!

The release of Funny Farm is now available at Sweet n' Sassy's store! This is one of the cutie patootie animals in the set! I colored her in with my Copics. I used my Spellbinder's Nestibilities to cut out the ovals. The "cow" paper is pretty old, so I have no idea who makes it. (Simone would be proud....maybe this qualifies as scrapping your crap! LOL) The pink and black paper are SU! The flowers and stick pin are Making Memories. The ribbon is Michaels.
In the past I have purchased most of my vintage ribbon from Pine. I was wanting to buy more and she was kind enough to send me some through the mail.......along with this beautiful card! I was lucky enough to meet her last summer at CHA. She is as sweet in person as she is on her blog! Thanks Pine! (I am loving all of my ribbon!)

Crafty Secrets is hosting some challenges over at SCS! My card is being used as the sketch challenge! Go check it out!!

Guest Designer Project for Crafty Secrets

Here is another project I created for Crafty Secrets. ( I originally got this idea from Debbie Olson. ) Using the Wine Lover's set from Crafty Secret's (of course!) , I created a coaster. The background paper is Crafty Secret's Earthy. I stamped the vine directly on the background paper and then colored it in with my Copics. The wine bottle and glass were stamped on separate paper and cut out. I then placed them on the background paper. I stamped the sentiment in black ink. I used a thin layer of Modge Podge to adhere the paper to the block. Once dry, I glued Dew Drops to the perimeter of the block.
Thanks for visiting me today! Happy Monday to you!

Katie

Isn't she the cutest? I babysat my niece and nephew this weekend. It made me realize that two children is plenty! I don't know how you moms do it that have more than two! My hats go off to you, because it was lots of work! I enjoyed it immensely, but it was nice to be able to give them back to their mom and dad. Anyway, while my nephew was taking a nap, I decided to take pics of Katie. I have a small photography business on the side. Small being the operative word! I teach full time so I don't devote a lot of time to this business. I have a small clientele. I did some dabbling on my Adobe Photoshop too.
Now you may be asking, where are the pics of your nephew.....let me just say, he is 2 1/2........enough said!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
