Vintage Card. AND don't forget to scroll down for some "mini" blog candy....

My MIL informed me that I originally stated that I would be drawing for the "mini" blog candy on Monday, June 4th and then later stated I would draw today! Please forgive me, as I apparently have early memory loss! It is the end of the year for us teachers and life is a little hectic! So I will leave it till Monday! I just want to say that your comments have been the highlight of the week! I have literally laughed out loud at how creative some of your "begging and groveling" have been! Thanks for the giggles!!

This card was made from a new stamp I purchased awhile ago. The stamp is called Betsy from B Line Designs. I thought she was adorable with that coy look! I used paper that Archivers makes...it is called their spring line. I distressed it a bit with my chocolate ink. I used a button brad from Brenda Walton and some ribbon. I used my window punch for the sentiment. IT was one of those cards that just kinda came together!

Have a great weekend everyone! Thanks for visiting!

Blog Candy Redraw! AND don't forget to leave a comment for the 2 "mini" blog candies! AND a "sweet" card!

Jayne never claimed her blog candy from last Saturday....So my husband picked a random number from 1-53 and he picked lucky # 13! This means Allison is the new winner! I know how much she wanted that bird! Now so as not to confuse anyone Allison won the big blog candy...there are still 2 chances to win those little birdies! I will draw for those on Saturday morning...so keep "begging" ladies! It sure makes me giggle when I read your "sad" tales of bird woe!

This card was completely done with Lasting Impressions paper and templates! I have been on a bit of a dry embossing kick! I love this strawberry set!

I am hoping that Jayne contacts me by tomorrow for her goodies! IF not I will redraw the winner on Friday morning! I know many of you wanted these bird stamps! I found 2 more at Archivers and picked them up especially for you! A couple of days ago I stated that I had 3 stamps....oooops...I only have 2 birdies to give away! So I am calling this "MINI" blog candy! 2 lucky winners will get the bird and one other mini stamp! All you need to do is leave a comment telling me why you want this bird....begging, groveling, whining all permitted! LOL! I will pick 2 lucky winners on Monday night, June 4th!

Will have to redraw BLOG CANDY winner by Friday morning! Jayne needs to claim her goodies! Anniversary cards from my MIL!

My MIL is a SU! demonstrator and is very talented. She sent me these 2 cards, one for my anniversary and one as a thank you! She is very critical of her own work and has often said she would like to start a blog...but she is too self conscious to do so! I keep telling her to start one cuz she would love it! I think she does great work!

ALSO, Jayne won my blog candy on Saturday! I hate to give her prize away, but she hasn't claimed it yet! I will redraw a winner on Friday morning if I don't hear from her!

RAK from Charmaine....and another Tuscan Rose card!

Charmaine over at Oodabug Alley sent me this adorable RAK! She is about the sweetest person I know! She was one of the first bloggers to encourage me and make me feel like I had something to offer! Thanks so much Charmaine!

I have to laugh at how I created this Tuscan Rose card, because I was stamping with a totally different stamp and hated how it turned out! I liked the paper, but not the stamp! I noticed I had my collage sheet of butterflies from Tuscan Rose and realized the one butterfly matched my paper perfectly! So a new idea was born! I have been on a roll with my sewing machine lately, just love the homemade feel of it! (Course as I have said before....my sewing machine has NEVER touched clothing....just PAPER!) I used this beautiful flourish from Tuscan Rose and embossed it in black. I also had to add that touch of rhinestone in the corner!

**Some of you asked where the metallic sheet from yesterdays card came from....it is really old...like 5-6 years old...it was from Karen Foster!

**ALSO if Jayne doesn't claim her blog candy by Thursday...I will draw again!

** I will post my "mini" blog candy tomorrow some time!

Using up old supplies...pics of kids in their first swim of the season...AND Jayne needs to claim her blog candy!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! I too was busy planting and opening our pool! Today was only about 76 degrees, but it didn't stop my kids from swimming! (For 5 hours!) Blue lips and chattering teeth...didn't detour them!

This card started with an OLD piercing template I had from years ago. I realized it fit perfectly into the SU! square tag. So I pierced and embossed... then added beads to the frame, glitter and crystal glaze to the center. Then I had a heck of a time finding just the right paper.. so this sat there for awhile. Then I remembered I had this metal sticky paper.....PERFECT! I cuttlebugged it (boy, we sure do invent new words don't we?) and voila! I used cool carribean paper, some white, silver and blue ribbon and it was a DONE DEAL! I kinda like how it turned out!

Check back soon for some "mini" blog candy for 3 lucky winners!

Another Whipper Snapper Stamp....and JAYNE won the blog candy!

I posted a card the other day that said ADORE. I used my heat and stick and had trouble getting the glitter to stay on. That card really bothered me because it was for my hubby for our anniversary....which is tomorrow the 29th! (14 years!) Sooooo I decided to make a different card for him.....why, you ask? Because he is my biggest critic! He critiques every card I make! AND I've come to the realization that he hates ribbon! Every card I make he will say, "That's cute....except the ribbon...I don't like the ribbon!" WHAT? How can you hate RIBBON? I LOVE RIBBON! I have to have RIBBON on EVERY card......except this one... SO here is his new anniversary card.....I think the monkey is more appropriate for him anyway! : ) This is an adorable Whipper Snapper stamp....have I told you how much I LOVE their stamps? I used my Prismas and mineral spirits. I used my paper piercing template from SU! The sentiment reads bananas......over you! AND do you notice something? NO RIBBON!

Jayne won the blog candy! Send me your snail mail and I will get your prizes out to you!

Faith Card

I bought a bunch of embossing templates from Sizzix a few months ago for dirt cheap! I got about 25 templates for $30.00! Of course I still have some in the package unopened....what does THAT tell you? Anyway, I had some of this oriental paper from Heidi Grace, and wanted to use this template that in English translates to Faith. I thought it might even make a good sympathy card?

The card is pretty self explanatory!
